Meet Michelle – The Laughter of Whale Competitions
About Her Role
Michelle has been with Whale Competitions since day one – right from the moment the idea set sail. She kicks off every workday with a 45-minute walk, setting the tone for the day ahead.
For her, the most rewarding part of the job is simple but powerful: giving people awesome prizes. She’s motivated by working with such a great team and has her sights set firmly on the future – seeing Whale Competitions become the best competition site in the UK within the next five years.
Getting to Know Michelle
Her friends would describe her as funny, loud, and kind – and if you’ve ever heard her laugh, you’ll understand why her warning label would read “Ear defenders required when she laughs!”.
Michelle has a hidden talent too: she can move her eyes in different directions (yes, really). She’s also a proud dog mum to Elvis and loves surprising people with her passion for learning.
Whale Competitions Fun
When asked about the funniest live draw moment, Michelle didn’t hesitate – Zed dressing up takes the crown.
If she could collaborate with any brand for a prize, she’d choose Nike or Gymshark. And if our mascot Splash could talk? He’d say, “You can hear Michelle before you see her.”
During busy prize launches, she raids anything from the Whale canteen, and if she wasn’t doing this, she reckons she’d be a professional matchmaker.
Outside of Work
When she’s not at Whale HQ, Michelle loves working out, spending time with her kids, and escaping to her happy place – the gym. Her bucket list is all about travel, visiting as many places as possible, and she lives by the motto:
See the positive & be kind.
